Job Duties

- estimate food preparation amounts and adjust recipes to meet meal requirements
- evaluate prepared food for flavor, appearance, and temperature
- implement menu plans to meet nutritional standards
- inspect food and supply deliveries for quality and compliance
- inventory food, supplies, and equipment regularly
- maintain equipment and storage areas in sanitary condition
- manage assigned site operations and supervise personnel
- monitor food service operations and ensure safe working environment
- order food, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory
- orient new employees on site processes and sanitation practices
- oversee preparation, cooking, serving, and transportation of food
- participate in meetings and training sessions
- perform other nutritional services functions as needed
- prepare documentation like meal program records and reports
- process receipts and reconcile transactions
- respond to inquiries about food services
- schedule work hours for cafeteria employees
- stock food and supplies
- supervise food service personnel
- train and evaluate new managers
- perform related duties to ensure efficient operations
