Job Description

Alpine School District is a renowned educational institution committed to delivering high-quality education and support services to students across various grade levels. Located in Lindon, the district prides itself on fostering a nurturing and safe environment for both students and staff, with a strong emphasis on comprehensive nutritional programs that support student wellness and academic performance. The district continually seeks dedicated professionals to join their team, contributing to the overall excellence and smooth operations of its services.

The position of Nutrition Services Manager Elementary is a vital role within Alpine School District's Nutrition Services Department. This is a 182-day contract position starting August 12, 2026, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24.45 to $27.48, dependent on qualifications and experience. The role involves managing and overseeing all food service activities at an assigned elementary school site, ensuring that the health, nutrition, and safety standards mandated by authorities are met consistently. Working seven hours per day, the manager supervises cafeteria personnel, organizes food preparation, plans menus that meet nutritional guidelines, manages inventories, and ensures compliance with food safety regulations.

The Nutrition Services Manager Elementary is responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions in all food preparation and serving areas, monitoring food quality for flavor and appearance, and adjusting recipes to meet meal requirements while minimizing waste. A significant aspect of the position is managing inventory and supply orders to keep the operations running efficiently within the set budget. The manager is also accountable for maintaining accurate records related to meal programs, transactions, staff time sheets, and daily operations reports.

In addition to direct food service oversight, this role also includes staff management duties such as scheduling, training, and evaluating cafeteria workers. The Nutrition Services Manager facilitates orientation processes for new hires and supports the Managers Intern Program by training prospective managers. Participation in unit meetings, workshops, and ongoing training is essential to remain current with district policies and nutritional standards.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are paramount for this position since the manager ensures that food services align with dietary requirements for students, including those with allergies or special dietary needs. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen work environment while also delivering nutritious, appealing meals tailored to the elementary student population. This position requires renewing Serv Safe certification every three years, along with holding a valid Food Handler's Permit and Serv Safe Certificate, underscoring the district’s commitment to food safety and public health.

Alpine School District values candidates who bring a positive attitude, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative approach to team management. If you are passionate about nutrition and dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of students in an educational setting, this opportunity as a Nutrition Services Manager Elementary in Lindon offers a rewarding career path.
