Job Description
Regions Hospital, part of the HealthPartners enterprise, is a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing community health. Located in Minnesota, Regions Hospital is known for its comprehensive medical services, innovative programs, and a strong focus on health equity and inclusion. As a part of HealthPartners, a nonprofit integrated health care organization, Regions Hospital benefits from the broader network's resources and commitment to high-quality care, research, and education across six states, including Minnesota and Wisconsin. HealthPartners boasts more than 90 locations such as hospitals and clinics, offering a robust infrastructure that supports a wide range of healthcare specialties and services. They foster an inclusive work environment where diversity, learning, and collaboration thrive, ensuring that every team member’s contributions are acknowledged and valued.
The Nutrition Driver position at Regions Hospital is a vital role within the Food & Nutrition department, primarily focusing on support of the hospital’s vending services. This full-time regular role with a schedule typically set Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM involves operating as a reliable and punctual driver responsible for transporting, delivering, and distributing food to both onsite and offsite venues using designated vending machine services. The position offers an hourly wage of $20.27 and falls under the union classification Regions AFSCME Service Workers. This role requires a positive attitude, honesty, and a strong work ethic, as well as a genuine drive to help others, reflecting the core values of HealthPartners and Regions Hospital.
Key responsibilities extend beyond driving and food transport; the Nutrition Driver will also prepare and package meals for vending services, ensuring all food offerings meet quality and safety standards. Sanitation duties are critical to this position, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and vending machines according to departmental policies to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Drivers are also expected to conduct routine maintenance checks on their delivery vehicles, such as oil changes, tire pressure monitoring, and fueling, to guarantee that the vehicles remain in good working condition and deliveries occur seamlessly. This safety-first approach underscores the importance of diligence and responsibility in the role. Other duties may be assigned to support the overall efficiency of the nutrition services department.
HealthPartners emphasizes employee well-being, offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to nurture the diverse talents of their colleagues while promoting work-life balance. Employees enjoy various health benefits, paid time off, retirement planning options, and continuous learning opportunities to support professional growth and personal development. The environment is one that values inclusivity and equal opportunity, ensuring that all employees feel welcome and appreciated regardless of background or status. By joining Regions Hospital in this role, the candidate becomes a key part of a compassionate team dedicated to improving health outcomes and community wellness, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and coworkers alike.
