The Nutrition Center Coordinator position at Tri-Valley, Inc. is a part-time role, requiring about 25 hours a week Monday through Friday. As the central figure managing the day-to-day operations of the meal site, the Nutrition Center Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of meal preparation, delivery, and volunteer coordination run smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, this role involves supervising a team of volunteers and paid drivers, maintaining accurate records, and fostering effective communication among all stakeholders including nutrition staff, caterers, and consumers.

The coordinator will be the point person for handling consumer feedback, executing wellness protocols, and facilitating the annual food satisfaction survey, helping to continuously improve the service quality and consumer experience. They will be tasked with maintaining a pool of trained substitutes to guarantee uninterrupted service and will also be expected to provide support across other sites when necessary. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • manage daily meal site operations including taking reservations
  • order meals and supplies
  • monitor food waste
  • maintain accurate records and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • recruit train schedule and recognize volunteers and paid drivers
  • oversee and perform safety and cleanliness of the site and enforce proper food handling procedures
  • gather consumer feedback and coordinate the annual food satisfaction survey
  • follow protocol for wellness checks on Meals on Wheels consumers as necessary
  • communicate effectively with consumers nutrition staff supervisor caterers and host agency personnel to report issues such as delivery problems food temperature concerns or other incidents
  • ensure adequate coverage by maintaining a pool of trained substitutes and be willing to provide support at other sites when necessary
  • attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing training and supervision
  • represent Tri-Valley professionally while fostering positive relationships with consumers staff volunteers and the host agency
  • perform other related duties as assigned
