Job Duties
- Follow healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes
- Avoid cross-contamination of foods and adhere to personal hygiene requirements
- Maintain proper labeling of food products and ensure storage of food equipment and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines
- Prepare and serve food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment
- Maintain knowledge of recipe ingredients to respond to food allergy questions or requests
- Follow organizational standards and guidelines for a high quality patient and customer experience
- Ensure proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation
- Perform cashiering
- Serve in the retail area
- Assemble, deliver and retrieve patient trays
- Perform cold food prep
- Perform utility assignments such as dishwashing, washing pots and pans, maintaining equipment
- Perform catering functions and/or delivering/picking up catered food
- Support inventory maintenance duties
- Perform general cleaning of equipment and work areas such as mopping, sweeping, emptying trash cans
