Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- One year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Must have Food Handlers Permit approved by TXDSHS or ANSI, or Certified Food Manager certification obtained within 90 days with renewal every 5 years
- Ability to safely perform assigned duties confirmed by ongoing competency assessments
- Proficiency in English necessary for safe communication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to analyze information to make informed decisions
- Ability to take appropriate follow-up actions to resolve issues
- Must follow sanitation and safety procedures according to department policies
- Commitment to teamwork and positive workplace communication
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet patients and educate them on dining services programs and processes specific to their prescribed diets
- Serve as the first point of contact for all complaints involving patient food services and follow through on problem resolution
- Assist patients with menu selection and order placement using computerized software
- Deliver and set up meals and trays ensuring accuracy, presentation, and patient satisfaction
- Monitor and document patient feedback, communicate concerns to management, and contribute to quality improvement projects
- Maintain sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety ordinances and department policies
- Inventory and manage supplies effectively to reduce waste and support budget adherence
