Dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art healthcare services, GSMC incorporates advanced robotic technologies such as the MAKO and Da Vinci robots for minimally invasive and precise general surgery procedures. It also hosts a Commission on Cancer-accredited cancer center anchored by its modern Breast Center, reflecting its commitment to offering comprehensive, high-quality cancer care. With a rich history and a reputation for excellence, Good Samaritan Medical Center emphasizes clinical innovation combined with compassionate patient care. It is an institution that values its dedicated team of healthcare professionals, believing they are its greatest asset. This belief translates into a supportive work environment where professional growth and well-being are prioritized through a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and career development opportunities.
The Patient Care Manager position at Good Samaritan Medical Center represents a full-time leadership role based on a dayshift schedule, offering up to $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates paid over 24 months. The Patient Care Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for overseeing and evaluating patient care activities within their assigned area. This role requires a deep understanding of fiscal management including operational and capital expenditures. The manager implements performance improvement strategies, maintains staff educational standards, and ensures ongoing staff development programs are provided. A key aspect of this role involves assessing customer satisfaction and assuring that patient care standards meet or exceed institutional benchmarks. The role also expects the incumbent to perform additional duties as assigned, contributing broadly to the hospital’s operational and clinical excellence. The position’s requirements include a current Florida RN license, a baccalaureate degree in nursing or enrollment in a nursing-focused degree program to be completed within two years, CPR (Basic Life Support), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. Candidates should have at least two years of nursing experience in their clinical focus area and one year of nursing management experience. The physical demands of this position involve frequent lifting up to 40 pounds, operation of standard office equipment, and mobility tasks such as walking, bending, pushing, and pulling. Good Samaritan Medical Center not only seeks candidates with solid clinical and managerial skills but also values leaders who are results-driven, innovative, and passionate about impacting patients, caregivers, and the community positively.
