Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a well-established 536-bed acute care hospital located on a sprawling 30-acre campus serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years. With a dedicated staff of over 1,700 employees and 700 physicians, the hospital combines community-oriented care with the capabilities of a state-designated Level I Trauma Center. Delray Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of specialized services including advanced cardiac and vascular care, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care, and weight-loss surgery. Additionally, the hospital is home to Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital, the only state-designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in Palm Beach County, as well as Fair Oaks Pavilion, an adult psychiatry unit with 53 beds. Known for its commitment to healthcare excellence and a patient-centered approach, Delray Medical Center fosters a collaborative environment where interdisciplinary teams work together to improve patient outcomes and community health.

The Clinical Manager role is a full-time, day-shift position offering up to $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months. The Clinical Manager is entrusted with the overall operational and clinical management of the Emergency Department (ED) and Off Campus Emergency Department, focusing on staffing and scheduling, education, orientation, onboarding, policy development, and performance evaluations. This leadership role demands a proactive communicator and strategic thinker who can maintain effective collaboration among inpatient departments, physicians, and ancillary services. The Clinical Manager leads efforts to optimize patient throughput, manage core performance measures, and ensure compliance with hospital policies as well as Joint Commission standards. Essential duties also include analyzing key metrics such as length of stay, avoidable days, and disputes to enhance emergency care efficiency.

Reporting to the Administrative Nursing Director, the Clinical Manager plays a pivotal role in organizing nursing services by allocating resources efficiently and promoting compassionate care. This leader coordinates across different healthcare disciplines and facilitates open communication and collegial relationships among nursing staff and other personnel. Responsibilities include supervising nursing personnel, fostering professional development, supporting peer review processes, evaluating performance and quality of care, and assisting in organizational policy formulation. The Clinical Manager takes accountability for ensuring that staff are properly oriented, educated, credentialed, and continuously professionally developed. Additionally, this role influences recruitment, retention, budgeting, and nursing research participation.

Candidates for this role must bring a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field, with a preference for a Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education, Management, or an equivalent combination of competencies and job experience. Applicants should possess at least two years of clinical experience in a related specialty and a minimum of one year in a supervisory or management position, along with a working knowledge of quality improvement processes and compliance with Joint Commission standards. Required certifications include a valid Florida RN license, AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with TNCC and ENPC required within 18 months of hire, and CEN certification preferred. Strong managerial experience with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals is essential, as is national certification in the clinical specialty.

Delray Medical Center offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, career development and continuing education opportunities, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and various voluntary benefits such as pet, legal, accident, critical illness, long-term care, elder and childcare, auto, and home insurance.
