Renowned for its commitment to advanced healthcare services, the hospital specializes in cardiovascular care, orthopedic treatment, obstetrics, and emergency services. Abrazo Arrowhead Campus strives to deliver exceptional patient care by combining state-of-the-art technology with a dedicated, compassionate team of healthcare professionals. This facility is not just a hospital but a beacon of hope and healing that continuously adapts and grows to meet the evolving needs of its patients and community. The hospital's mission is to improve the health and well-being of the individuals it serves with unwavering dedication to quality and integrity.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Administrator to lead our Nursing Department with vision and purpose. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the nursing services, directly impacting patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and the overall experience of our healthcare delivery. The Department Administrator will be responsible for establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, standards, and objectives that align with the hospital’s mission and vision. This leadership position entails directing staff and managing workflow to maintain high standards of care and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will have significant budgetary and fiscal accountability, working diligently to prepare and adhere to department budgets based on patient volume and other factors. In addition, the Department Administrator is responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising staff to ensure professional, courteous, and timely services. Employee engagement and retention are key focus areas, with efforts directed towards promoting a positive work environment and fostering staff development.

Communication is a vital component of this position, requiring effective interaction with physicians, patients, volunteers, management, and other hospital staff to promote a collaborative, caring, and respectful atmosphere. The Department Administrator will also play an essential role in meeting regulatory compliance standards such as JCAHO, supporting organizational strategies to improve patient satisfaction and core measure goals, and participating actively on medical staff committees.

This role requires a seasoned leader with at least five years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting, including three years in a supervisory capacity. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required, along with a current Arizona Registered Nurse License. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Nursing and certifications related to Wound Care such as WOCN. This is a full-time position located at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, offering an enriching career path with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus values its employees and offers extensive benefits designed to support their professional growth and personal well-being. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match, generous paid time off, and opportunities for career development and continuing education. Additionally, employees have access to health savings accounts, dependent flexible spending accounts, an Employee Assistance Program, and various voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness coverage, and long-term care options.
