The Nursing Assistant position in the Med Surg/Tele Unit 3 South is a full-time, night shift role with a 12-hour shift duration from 1930 to 0700, including some weekend shifts. This role involves providing basic nursing care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting the nursing team under the direction of registered nurses. The Nursing Assistant will help maintain a safe and clean environment, respond to patient needs, manage supplies, and contribute to the overall patient experience through direct care and support duties. The position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and basic computer knowledge. Certified Nursing Assistants are preferred, but not mandatory, provided the candidate holds current BLS certification and relevant nursing assistant experience. The base pay for this role starts at $25 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- 1 or more years of nursing assistant experience preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
- Willingness to work night shifts including weekends
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care

Job Duties
- Assists patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting and hygiene
- Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients
- Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Works under the directions and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit
- Answers phones and call lights
- Ensures unit is stocked with supplies
- Assists patient transporters as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
