The organization prides itself on fostering a friendly and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth among its staff. Employees at Patient First benefit from a positive workplace culture that encourages collaboration and continuous learning.

The Nurse position at Patient First in Hampton, Virginia represents a vital role within the company’s ambulatory care team. This full-time job offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $31.50 to $37.50, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Patient First values nurses with diverse educational backgrounds—whether they hold a diploma, an associate degree, or a bachelor’s degree—and encourages all to apply. The role is designed to ensure not only the delivery of top-quality nursing care but also to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and colleagues alike.

Nurses at Patient First are responsible for a variety of essential duties, including implementing established company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and compliance. They provide direct clinical care in an outpatient setting, addressing patient needs individually and within family contexts. This position requires nurses to administer medications accurately while understanding the associated dosages, side effects, and therapeutic effects of each drug they administer. Critical thinking and sound clinical judgment are indispensable skills, especially when screening patients or assisting physicians during medical emergencies.

The Nurse role also emphasizes the importance of delivering exceptional customer service in every interaction, ensuring patients feel valued and cared for. As part of the corporate culture, teamwork is strongly encouraged, and nurses are expected to contribute positively to the professional environment by supporting their colleagues and maintaining a collaborative approach. Additionally, the facility demonstrates flexibility by accommodating previously scheduled time off, recognizing the work-life balance nurses need to maintain.

Overall, joining Patient First as a nurse not only provides an opportunity to work in a well-established and reputable healthcare organization but also grants access to an outstanding benefits package. Employees receive health, dental, and vision insurance for themselves and their dependents, alongside life, disability, and long-term care insurance options. Retirement planning is supported through a 401(k) plan with an employer match, and additional compensation is available through various bonuses including sign-on, recruitment, patient care performance, and weekend bonuses. Paid leave programs and discounted medical treatment for employees and their immediate families further enhance the total rewards of this career.

Patient First’s commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunity ensures that all candidates have a fair chance to join the team and contribute to the community’s health and well-being. This position is offered in-person, reflecting the hands-on nature of the work and the importance of face-to-face patient care where nurses provide critical support in the patient care continuum designed to promote wellness and rapid recovery.
