We are currently seeking a full-time Nurse Manager to join our Nurse Management Team, specifically dedicated to the Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical Services at our Danbury, NC location. This leadership role is essential in overseeing the clinical operations, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes within these departments. The Nurse Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, aligning with Novant Health’s commitment to remarkable care and remarkable careers. This position operates on a schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing consistent management support during regular business hours. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for leading a team of nursing professionals in fast-paced, dynamic environments such as the Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical units. They will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to staff members while maintaining compliance with state licensure and facility-specific requirements, including NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions. This role demands strong knowledge of current and emerging trends in nursing practice, regulatory standards, policies, procedures, and the application of safety and infection control measures. Additionally, the Nurse Manager must demonstrate expertise in budgeting, staffing, payroll, purchasing, and the implementation of competency development and progressive discipline processes.
Effective team building, conflict management, and interpersonal communication skills are critical for success in this role. The Nurse Manager will foster a positive work environment that enhances staff satisfaction and engagement while promoting continuous learning through adult teaching methods and evidence-based practice models. The ability to make sound decisions, lead projects, delegate responsibilities, and consult on clinical and operational issues is required. This role also involves addressing customer (patient and family) needs and expectations with an emphasis on continuous improvement to exceed those expectations. Knowledge of change management principles will ensure smooth transitions and process enhancements within the unit.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire
- Minimum 3 years clinical RN experience in acute care preferred
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of safety and infection control policies
- Understanding of budgeting and staffing procedures
- Competency in staff development and progressive discipline

- Solid decision making and project leadership capabilities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
