Job Requirements

  • valid registered nurse license
  • minimum 3 years experience in perioperative nursing
  • prior management or supervisory experience in an ambulatory surgery center
  • knowledge of surgical procedures and infection control protocols
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team
  • strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • registered nurse (RN) license
  • proven leadership experience in perioperative or ambulatory surgery settings
  • strong knowledge of OR technology and perioperative nursing practices
  • familiarity with CMS, AAAHC, or Joint Commission accreditation requirements
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • commitment to patient-centered and inclusive care
  • ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • experience with staff education and professional development
  • proficiency in quality improvement methodologies

Job Duties

  • oversee perioperative operations including patient flow management from pre-op through PACU
  • manage staff scheduling, development, and team performance across two operating rooms
  • ensure compliance with quality and safety programs and maintain accreditation readiness for CMS, AAAHC or Joint Commission standards
  • coordinate infection prevention initiatives and supply chain management
  • collaborate with Surgery Center Administrator and Medical Director on clinical and operational functions
  • guide patients through insurance coordination and travel support processes
  • drive continuous performance improvement and sustain a culture of inclusive, compassionate care
