St. Marys Medical Center (SMMC), a vital part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a renowned 420-bed acute care hospital located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Nurse Manager role at St. Marys Medical Center is a critical position that plays a pivotal part in maintaining the high standards of patient care and operational excellence for which the hospital is known. This role requires a registered nurse with exceptional critical thinking skills who can effectively coordinate and oversee clinical activities within a specific unit. The Nurse Manager will directly and indirectly supervise care provided by ancillary staff, ensuring that quality healthcare protocols and procedures are rigorously followed. As a leader, the Nurse Manager will foster collaboration among healthcare team members to promote outstanding patient outcomes and facilitate smooth, efficient unit operations. The position demands excellent leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills, as well as an ability to manage both personnel and administrative tasks. The Nurse Manager may also be assigned house supervision duties, demonstrating versatility and readiness to maintain hospital-wide patient care standards.
This is a full-time daytime position offering a substantial sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months, emphasizing the hospital's commitment to attracting top-tier nursing professionals. Job Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Minimum three years of hospital nursing experience
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- NIH Stroke certification within 60 days of hire or transfer
- EKG Testing and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Experience in hospital nursing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
