As a state-designated Level I Trauma Center, Delray Medical Center is equipped with advanced medical facilities and specialized services that include cardiac and vascular care, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care, and weight-loss surgery. The hospital is also home to Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital, which stands as the only state-designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in the county. Additionally, the Fair Oaks Pavilion, a 53-bed adult psychiatry unit, offers specialized psychiatric services. This distinguished institution prides itself on combining community-focused patient care with cutting-edge medical technology to improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for its patients.

The role of Clinical Nurse Manager at Delray Medical Center is a full-time, day position that offers a substantial Sign-On Bonus (SOB) of up to $20,000 for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months. The Clinical Nurse Manager works collaboratively with the Director to oversee both administrative and clinical aspects of patient care units. This leadership role involves organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost-effective and quality patient care that aligns with hospital, state, federal, Joint Commission, and American Nurses Association (ANA) standards. The manager not only ensures compliance with regulatory requirements but also provides education to nursing staff based on theoretical and clinical expertise. Accountability for 24-hour clinical resource management and continuity of patient care lies with this role, making it vital for maintaining high standards of nursing practice and patient safety.

As a clinical resource and mentor, the Clinical Nurse Manager serves as a role model who promotes clinical excellence and leadership development among assistant nurse managers and clinical personnel. This position requires active participation in the hospital's performance improvement processes aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. The Clinical Nurse Manager is also responsible for assisting in the administrative management of the patient care unit, contributing to the overall effectiveness and operational success of the unit.

Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field, with a Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent competencies. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a specialty area and at least one year of supervisory or management experience are required. Knowledge of Quality Improvement processes and Joint Commission standards is essential. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida is mandatory, alongside current American Heart Association BLS Certification and ACLS certification for those in critical care management. Managerial experience that demonstrates the ability to relate to diverse individuals and national certification in the specialty area are highly desirable.

Delray Medical Center offers an attractive comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, professional growth, and work-life balance of its employees. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match; generous paid time off; opportunities for career development and continuing education; health savings accounts; flexible spending accounts; and an Employee Assistance program. Voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, long-term care, elder and childcare, as well as auto and home insurance, are also available. Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status.

Joining Delray Medical Center means becoming part of a vibrant healthcare community dedicated to excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient care.
