This job opening is for a per diem Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position based in Tyler, Texas, within the Pre Admission Surgery Screening clinics. This role is designed as a true PRN (pro re nata) position, meaning the NP or PA will cover full-time APC absences primarily during times of paid time off. The ideal candidate for this position should be reliably available on a regular basis when needed, making this an excellent opportunity for those who are local or live within a reasonable driving distance to Tyler, TX since there is no provision for a per diem or travel stipend. The role offers a balanced professional and personal lifestyle, endorsed by several benefits including malpractice insurance, a competitive compensation package, and access to Epic EMR systems. This setup allows healthcare providers to maintain flexibility in their schedules while contributing meaningfully to patient care during critical timeframes. The position requires previous experience as an NP or PA as new graduates will not be considered. Importantly, this role requires the candidate to hold licensure in the state of Texas or be eligible to obtain it. This is a unique opportunity for experienced APCs looking to work on a flexible basis within a reputable, faith-based, and mission-driven health system that values quality care and community wellness.
