Job Description
CHRISTUS Health is a renowned international Catholic, faith-based, not-for-profit health system that encompasses nearly 350 services and facilities. These include over 60 hospitals, long-term care facilities, 175 clinics and outpatient centers, as well as various other health ministries and ventures. Dedicated to serving underserved communities across seven U.S. states, Chile, Colombia, and six states in Mexico, CHRISTUS Health carries the vision to Extend the Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ. The organization is widely recognized as a national leader in patient satisfaction, advanced technology, and quality healthcare initiatives. The CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System, a key part of CHRISTUS Health, exemplifies this commitment, catering to the health needs of people and communities with a faith-based, not-for-profit approach.
This particular opportunity is for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the well-established outpatient family medicine clinic located in Tyler, Texas, at the South Broadway Commons location. Tyler is situated approximately 90 miles east of Dallas and boasts a high quality of life with affordable housing, excellent schools, and a vibrant cultural scene. The city is committed to healthcare development, allowing medical professionals to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Residents enjoy year-round outdoor recreational opportunities such as lakes, golf courses, hiking, and biking trails.
CHRISTUS Health’s Family Medicine NP/PA role is part of a physician-led organization where clinicians have a voice through the Physician Board of Directors, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. This role benefits from the use of AI-enabled documentation support tools like Abridge, which streamline clinical documentation and allow providers to focus more on patient care rather than administrative paperwork. The health system also offers a robust multispecialty network that includes over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers spanning 41 specialties across 82 clinic locations throughout Northeast Texas.
The compensation package is competitive, featuring a sign-on bonus and comprehensive malpractice coverage, including tail coverage. In addition, the provider will receive generous paid time off (PTO) and continuing medical education (CME) allowances to support professional development and work-life balance. A significant financial benefit lies in Texas's lack of state income tax.
This position is full-time and seeks an experienced Family Medicine or Internal Medicine NP or PA to contribute to delivering exceptional outpatient family healthcare. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas. Experience in family or internal medicine is strongly preferred, ensuring candidates are well-prepared to provide comprehensive care across diverse patient populations. Those who join CHRISTUS Health in Tyler will become part of a mission-driven, innovative team dedicated to advancing healthcare quality and access within the community while upholding the organization’s faith-based principles.
