Job Description
Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain known for its authentic churrasco dining experience. Established with a commitment to delivering an unforgettable meal that highlights the culinary art of Brazilian barbecue, Fogo de Chao has grown significantly and continues to be a popular choice among diners who appreciate high-quality meats and exceptional service. The restaurant prides itself on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy the continuous table-side service of various grilled meats, paired with a fresh salad bar and classic Brazilian sides. With locations nationwide, including Boston, Fogo de Chao serves as both a culinary destination and a workplace where passion for food and guest satisfaction intersect.
This position is for a Server at the Boston location, operating on a full-time basis. The Server role is crucial in maintaining the high standard of service that Fogo de Chao prides itself on. Servers act as the primary point of contact between the kitchen and the guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience by providing knowledgeable, attentive service. They are expected to be familiar with the preparation methods of the meats served and must convey this information confidently while managing continuous table side service. The role includes taking and serving beverage and dessert orders, communicating special requests to the Churrasqueiros (meat carvers), placing orders for processing and payment, and assisting fellow servers when needed. Additionally, Servers are responsible for completing duties at the beginning and end of shifts, and they must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as required.
At Fogo de Chao, full-time Servers are offered a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment. The company also provides life insurance and short-term disability coverage where legally permitted. A range of voluntary benefits is available as well, such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, and pet insurance. Part-time team members receive a Minimum Essential Coverage health plan, along with dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, plus access to additional voluntary benefits.
Fogo de Chao is not just a restaurant; it's a community focused on igniting fire and joy among its team members, guests, and the local neighborhoods it serves. Whether you are seeking a fulfilling career with opportunities for professional and personal growth or want to be part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team passionate about culinary excellence, the Server position at Fogo de Chao offers a vibrant and rewarding work environment. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings, enjoy interacting with guests, and will take pride in representing the unique dining culture that Fogo de Chao brings to Boston.
