The Valet position at ABM offers a critical guest-facing role where professionalism, courtesy, and compassion are key. Valets play a significant part in enhancing the guest experience by managing the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, interacting warmly with guests, and providing clear communication regarding valet procedures and parking logistics. This role operates Monday through Friday from 7am to 11am, offering an hourly wage of $22.45, with pay potentially adjusted based on experience, skills, and location. Valets must be prepared for outdoor work in all weather conditions and exhibit a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.

In this position, valets are responsible for coordinating traffic flow, promptly storing vehicles, tracking parking lot conditions, and assisting guests with loading and unloading. They maintain the security of guest keys and ensure correct handling of valet payments including tallying and splitting tip pools and reconciling daily revenue with accuracy. Valets must operate vehicles safely, obeying all traffic laws and relevant facility policies, while keeping their work environment clean and orderly. The ability to predict peak traffic times and arrange additional support during busy periods is also essential for maintaining smooth operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a valet or customer service role preferred

  • physical ability to assist with guest loading and unloading

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate traffic flow
  • communicate valet procedures, information, and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
  • interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • assist guests with loading and unloading
  • collect and secure guest keys
  • predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
  • operate, park, and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • keep work area clean of debris
