Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills
- Positive and adventurous attitude
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in large batch recipe cooking and meat and fish fabrication
- Knowledge of general food prep and understanding of dietary needs, cuisines, techniques and culinary trends
- Foundation in baking methods, unit conversions and strong knife skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to learn and have a 'make it happen' attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food for catering and events held at Tetherow Resort
- Promote and maintain the highest level of food quality and customer service to all guests
- Ensure the proper food levels are met for daily operation
- Prepare menu items in accordance to set standards and specifications
- Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas at all times in accordance with state and local sanitation requirements and codes
- Communicate clearly and develop strong working relationships with back and front of the house staff working banquets/events each day
