Operating out of Seattle, Washington, this esteemed restaurant offers authentic dining experiences that highlight the intricacies and flavors of traditional Asian culinary arts. The company prides itself on its commitment to quality, food safety, and an engaging customer experience, contributing to its strong reputation and expanding presence in North America.
The position available at Din Tai Fung is for a Noodle Prep team member located at 4025 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134. This full-time role requires availability Monday through Saturday from approximately 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on the specific position needs. Compensation starts at $22.75 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Noodle Prep is a critical contributor to the kitchen production team, responsible for preparing fresh noodles and dough items within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role involves adhering to precise recipes and standardized operating procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and safety in every batch produced. The Noodle Prep will also maintain inventory control by accurately measuring ingredients, inspecting deliveries, and organizing finished products according to food safety guidelines. Beyond production, the role requires maintaining a clean and organized noodle department, including tools, machinery, and workstations, supporting smooth kitchen operations and compliance with health regulations.
This opportunity offers room for growth within Din Tai Fung, as the company values promoting from within and providing avenues for advancement. The working environment values teamwork and attention to detail and encourages the development of specialized skills in food preparation and safety protocols. Given the nature of the work, candidates must be able to handle physical aspects like standing for extended periods, lifting moderately heavy items, and working in varied temperature settings.
Benefits include competitive pay and health-related benefits for individuals and eligible dependents, such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Additionally, employees have access to health savings accounts, commuter spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with company match, and various discounts including meal discounts and other perks through BenefitHub. There is also a supportive employee assistance program and an emphasis on a respectful and inclusive workplace environment.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals with strong attention to detail, a commitment to food safety and quality, and the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team setting. Prior experience is beneficial but not strictly required if candidates can demonstrate a willingness to learn and meet the physical and operational demands of the role. Din Tai Fung North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusion, providing a welcoming environment for all qualified applicants regardless of background.
