WM jobs are more than just a paycheck; they represent a stable career path that creates opportunities for employees and their families. Drivers at WM operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with various load lift attachments, depending on the business line and truck type. These roles require skilled maneuvering and adherence to strict safety and regulatory standards enforced by OSHA and DOT. The driver team includes Commercial Drivers who pick up waste and recyclable containers, often weighing over 1,000 pounds; Residential Drivers who collect household waste in residential areas; and Roll-Off Drivers who handle large mobile containers in industrial or commercial settings. OSHA, DOT, and local laws guide all operations to ensure safety and efficiency. Drivers perform pre and post-trip inspections, communicate with management regarding service issues, and maintain clean sites after pickups. WM drivers are essential workers, responsible for navigating diverse road conditions, including high-traffic areas, alleys, and tight spaces. The role offers stability, community impact, and career advancement opportunities within a company committed to the growth and investment in its workforce. WM's comprehensive training programs equip drivers with the knowledge and skills necessary for success and safety on the road. These positions require a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with air-brake endorsement, as well as a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence. Employees benefit from paid time off, holidays, personal days, and a total compensation package that reflects WM's dedication to its team's well-being and professional growth.
