Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a leading logistics and transportation company specializing in final mile delivery services. Known for efficiently managing the delivery of goods to the last destination, the company has established itself as a reliable partner for businesses requiring exceptional service for end-customer delivery. Hub Group Final Mile operates with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, safety, and timely delivery, offering a wide range of logistics solutions including transportation, warehousing, and installation services. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, the company leverages technology and skilled personnel to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. As a part of Hub Group, a nationally recognized logistics provider, Hub Group Final Mile benefits from an extensive network and resources that allow it to serve diverse markets across the country.
The company is currently seeking Non-CDL Independent Contractors to join their team as Driver Helpers with a 16-foot or 26-foot box truck equipped with a liftgate. This opportunity is perfect for individuals or teams with experience or interest in appliance delivery and installation. The role is designed for contractors who own, rent, or lease the required vehicle and ideally provide their own helper. The job offers a lucrative compensation model, with gross earnings of up to $6,500 per week per truck, depending on location. Contractors benefit from local delivery routes, allowing them to be home daily and enjoy a consistent and predictable work schedule. Payments are made weekly through direct deposit, with easy access to online settlement information, ensuring transparent and timely compensation.
As an Owner Operator or Independent Service Provider, the main responsibility is to perform appliance deliveries and installations efficiently and professionally. This includes handling a variety of household appliances such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other large appliances. Contractors must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and an active MC Operating Authority and DOT number or be willing to obtain them. A personal set of tools and professional work experience in appliance installation or a willingness to learn the trade are essential. This role requires a team approach, as a two-person delivery team is necessary to safely and effectively complete deliveries and installations.
The position demands attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer specifications for installing appliances, as well as the ability to operate necessary equipment for maneuvering heavy items. Hub Group Final Mile provides a supportive environment that values safety, quality service, and contractor independence. This contractor opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to leverage their skills in appliance delivery and installation or those seeking to enter this specialized field with a well-established company. With competitive pay, local routes, and the backing of a reputable logistics provider, Hub Group Final Mile offers a compelling opportunity for independent contractors to grow their business and deliver exceptional service to customers.
