Known for its focus on efficiency and customer service, Hub Group Final Mile operates with a strong commitment to providing reliable and timely delivery services. The company prides itself on offering drivers and contractors local routes that allow them to return home daily, emphasizing both work-life balance and operational excellence. Hub Group Final Mile caters to the delivery of various types of goods, specifically focusing on home appliances which require careful handling and sometimes in-house installation.
This position targets non-CDL independent contractors in Cincinnati, OH, who have access to a 26-foot box truck equipped with a liftgate. Contractors are expected to function as Owner Operators or Independent Service Providers delivering and installing appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other home essentials. The role is designed to maximize earning potential with gross weekly income reaching up to $4,500 per truck, in addition to numerous benefits like paid weekly settlements, direct deposit, and online access to settlements to facilitate smooth financial operations.
The key highlight of this role is the dual responsibility of delivery and basic installation, requiring contractors not only to transport appliances but also to complete simple hookups and installations ensuring customer satisfaction. The job demands a professional approach to appliance assembly, adjustment, and installation with strict adherence to manufacturer specifications. Candidates should ideally be experienced appliance installers or at least possess a willingness to learn these skills. Teamwork is essential since a driver helper is recommended to assist in maneuvering heavy or bulky items efficiently and safely.
Moreover, the role entails daily home return which enhances contractor work-life balance, a feature aligned with modern employment preferences. Contractors must own, lease, or rent the required vehicle, highlighting the independent contractor nature of the position. This setup allows contractors a degree of operational independence while partnering with a reputable logistics company known for its dependable and customer-oriented delivery service.
In summary, Hub Group Final Mile offers a lucrative, flexible opportunity for contractors in Cincinnati with the required equipment to deliver and install appliances locally. The combination of local routes, substantial weekly earnings, professional growth in appliance installation expertise, and consistent support through timely payments makes this an attractive contractor role in the home delivery logistics industry.
