Job Description

Hub Group Final Mile is a reputable logistics company specializing in last-mile delivery solutions across the United States. Part of the larger Hub Group network, it focuses on efficient, timely delivery services that cater specifically to the final segment of the shipping process. The company partners with various carriers and independent contractors to provide high-quality customer service and ensure smooth deliveries directly to consumers' homes. Hub Group Final Mile is known for its commitment to innovation and leveraging technology to enhance delivery experiences, making it a preferred logistics partner in the appliance delivery sector and other home goods markets.

Currently, Hub Group Final Mile is seeking Non-CDL Independent Contractors who own, rent, or lease a 26-foot box truck equipped with a liftgate. This role offers an excellent opportunity for Owner Operators or Independent Service Providers to join a dynamic and growing team focused on appliance delivery and installation. Candidates ideally will be paired with a Driver Helper to facilitate efficient deliveries, though this is not strictly mandatory.

This position is home daily, meaning contractors can return home at the end of each workday, which is a significant benefit compared to longer haul trucking positions. The compensation is competitive, with a gross weekly earning potential ranging from $3,500 to $3,750 per truck. Payment is made weekly via direct deposit, providing consistent income along with access to online settlements and weekly financial transparency. This employment offering is classified as a contractor role, so individuals will be responsible for their own work arrangements, compliance, and operational costs, but enjoy the freedom and flexibility that comes with independent contracting.

The role involves delivering appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, stoves, and other large home appliances directly to customers’ homes. Beyond simple delivery, contractors must perform basic installation or hookups adhering to manufacturer specifications and installation instructions. This includes assembling or adjusting appliances using personal tools and following detailed guidance to ensure proper functionality and customer satisfaction.

Contractors are expected to provide a two-person delivery team to maneuver and safely handle heavy or bulky appliances, leveraging appropriate equipment or assistance as needed. This aspect emphasizes teamwork and operational safety. The role suits professionals with some experience in appliance installation or those enthusiastic about learning the trade and growing in this niche. An active MC Operating Authority and DOT number with the FMCSA are required or must be obtained if not currently held.

This position is ideal for experienced independent operators looking for steady work with a reliable logistics provider and the opportunity to maximize their truck usage, or for new entrants willing to invest in a proper vehicle and learn installation skills to create a steady income stream. With a focus on local deliveries, home daily schedules, and an attractive pay structure, Hub Group Final Mile’s offering stands out within the independent contractor community in logistics and appliance delivery sectors. The role promises professional growth, dependable earnings, and a supportive framework to facilitate success in a competitive delivery market.
