Job Description

Hub Group Final Mile is a subsidiary of Hub Group, a well-established logistics company known for its commitment to efficient and reliable freight transportation services. Hub Group Final Mile specializes in the last-mile delivery segment, offering specialized delivery solutions tailored primarily for consumer goods, particularly large and bulky items like appliances, furniture, and electronics. With an emphasis on customer satisfaction and timely delivery, Hub Group Final Mile incorporates technology-driven solutions and dedicated driver teams to ensure smooth delivery experiences.

As a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, Hub Group Final Mile operates with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and professionalism, creating an environment that supports independent contractors in managing their own business operations while benefiting from the corporate support and infrastructure of a large logistics provider.

This job opportunity is for Non-CDL Independent Contractors who own, rent, or lease a 26-foot box truck equipped with a liftgate and preferably have a driver helper to assist with deliveries and installations. The role is designed around appliance delivery and installation, catering to the home delivery market where contractors drive locally and are home daily. The earning potential ranges between $3,500 and $3,750 gross per week per truck, highlighting a lucrative opportunity for experienced or motivated individuals to join a steady contract work schedule.

The role's key responsibility is delivering and installing home appliances such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other household appliances with precision and customer care. As an owner operator or independent service provider, the contractor team must be able to follow manufacturer installation instructions meticulously, utilize basic tradesman tools needed for assembly and adjustments, and work as a team to ensure a smooth delivery and installation process.

Contractors must maintain valid driving credentials, comply with federal motor carrier authority regulations, and demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and reliability. A personal set of tools and either prior appliance installation experience or a willingness to learn the trade are essential to succeed in this role. The contractor sets their own pace within the scope of the delivery commitments, benefiting from weekly payments and settlements processed through direct deposit.

Working with Hub Group Final Mile offers stability in terms of contracts, support from a nationally recognized logistics company, and an opportunity to grow a small business independent of traditional employment constraints. Local routes ensure that contractors return home daily, reducing time away from family and providing a balanced work-life scenario. Access to online settlements and clear payment processes makes financial management straightforward for contractor operators.

With a growing demand for home deliveries especially in the appliance market segment, this position offers opportunities for earning and expanding a transport and installation service business while partnering with an experienced logistics provider. Hub Group Final Mile is committed to facilitating a streamlined onboarding process and ongoing support, helping contractors deliver excellent customer experiences and consistently meet delivery schedules.
