Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a respected logistics company specializing in managing last-mile deliveries with efficiency and reliability. As a part of the larger Hub Group, which is a major player in the transportation industry, Hub Group Final Mile focuses on providing specialized delivery services to businesses and consumers. This division handles the final stage of delivery, ensuring goods reach their destinations safely and on time. This company prides itself on its commitment to excellent service, strong customer relationships, and innovative logistics solutions.
Hub Group Final Mile is now actively seeking Non-CDL Independent Contractors for the role of Driver Helper with a 26-foot Box Truck equipped with a liftgate. This position is a fantastic opportunity for owner-operators who have the necessary vehicle and ambition to thrive in the appliance delivery and installation sector. The work involves local deliveries with daily return home, offering a stable and predictable schedule, which is often highly desirable in the transportation industry. The compensation is competitive, with a gross earning potential between $3,500 and $3,750 per week per truck, depending on location, with payment processed weekly via direct deposit and online access to settlements.
The role of an Appliance Delivery and Installation Contractor Team involves much more than just transporting goods. Contractors are expected to provide a dependable delivery experience including the assembly and installation of household appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other similar items. This position requires not only driving skills but also mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow detailed installation instructions, adhering to manufacturer specifications. The contractor teams typically consist of two people: a driver and a helper, with the helper assisting in maneuvering heavy appliances and carrying out installation duties.
For individuals passionate about logistics and hands-on installation work, this position offers a unique blend of independence and responsibility. Contractors must bring their own 26-foot box truck with a liftgate and ideally have their own helper to assist on delivery days. It is crucial for contractors to maintain a professional demeanor and possess or be willing to develop installation skills within the appliance industry. The relationship with Hub Group Final Mile allows these independent contractors to operate as their own business owners while benefiting from a stable pipeline of appliance delivery work and timely compensation. This opportunity is well-suited to enterprising individuals seeking a rewarding and active role in home appliance logistics with the trusted support of an established logistics provider.
