Job Description

VPA is a reputable transportation service provider dedicated to delivering safe and reliable shuttle services to clients across various facilities. Operating in Atlantis, Florida, VPA manages shuttle routes to JFK Hospital using well-maintained, newer 14-passenger vehicles that do not require a commercial driver's license (CDL). The company prides itself on maintaining the highest safety standards, ensuring exceptional customer service, and fostering a professional work environment for all employees. VPA’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction has made it a preferred choice for clients and passengers seeking dependable shuttle transportation solutions.

We are currently seeking dedicated shuttle drivers to join our team at the Atlantis facility. This position offers steady, local routes specifically servicing JFK Hospital, focusing on safe, timely, and courteous shuttle operations. Available shifts are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, accommodating both full-time and part-time applicants. The role requires a valid class E non-CDL driver’s license and a DOT Medical card; VPA supports qualified candidates in obtaining the necessary medical certification through a simple DOT physical, which the company covers financially.

As a shuttle driver at VPA, you will be responsible for operating 14-passenger shuttles on scheduled routes, ensuring passenger safety by adhering strictly to all traffic laws and company procedures. Your duties will include greeting and assisting patrons politely, managing shuttle pre-trip inspections, recording essential operational data such as passenger counts and trip times, and maintaining shuttle cleanliness. Communication skills are vital as you will regularly interact with customers and coordinate with management, other drivers, and lot attendants via radio to ensure smooth and efficient service.

This position also demands vigilance in identifying and reporting any mechanical issues with the vehicles to management promptly and the flexibility to assist with additional tasks such as equipment setup and functioning as a lot attendant when required. VPA emphasizes a team-oriented atmosphere where professionalism and safety are paramount. Drivers must be at least 20 years old due to insurance mandates. Background checks and driving tests are part of the hiring process to ensure compliance and quality standards.

This role not only provides a meaningful employment opportunity with competitive compensation but also a chance to be part of a company that values its employees and invests in their success. Shuttle drivers at VPA enjoy predictable schedules, an established route system, and a supportive work environment that encourages professionalism, safety, and customer-focused service. VPA equal employment opportunity policies reaffirm its commitment to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds who meet the necessary qualifications.
