NON CDL Local Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver role at Sysco is a crucial position responsible for the efficient and safe transportation of food products and supplies along assigned daily routes. Operating primarily in a cross-dock environment, drivers pick up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and complete their routes by unloading products at multiple stops, adhering closely to designated delivery orders. This position requires strong physical stamina, the ability to handle frequent lifting and moving of products ranging from 1 to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Drivers must be capable of performing their duties in various weather conditions and handle company equipment safely while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with route delivery, preferably with a background in operating straight trucks, and may hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Responsibilities extend beyond driving to include loading trucks, palletizing products, managing customer interactions with professionalism, and performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Drivers should have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong customer service orientation to handle delivery discrepancies and customer complaints effectively.
