Job Description

Tropic Supply, Inc. is Florida's largest independent, family-owned distributor specializing in HVAC and refrigeration supplies. With over 50 years of operational history and 23 convenient locations across the state, Tropic Supply has solidified its reputation as a trusted provider within the industry. Rooted deeply in family values and commitment to excellence, the company has consistently delivered high-quality products and dependable service to contractors and technicians who rely on their equipment and supplies to get the job done efficiently. The focus on a stable and supportive working environment has helped Tropic Supply maintain longevity and strong relationships with both customers and employees. As a family-owned company, they prioritize respect for tenure, recognize performance, and foster a company culture where dedication and responsibility are valued highly.

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver role is a full-time, local driving position based in Daytona, FL. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a predictable schedule with no overnight or long-haul responsibilities. The core responsibility is to deliver HVAC and refrigeration supplies to a consistent and familiar customer base along established local routes. These deliveries are conducted in company-operated vans and box trucks weighing under 26,001 lbs GVWR. The driver plays an integral role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of products vital to contractors and technicians. In addition to driving, this position supports warehouse operations during slower periods or after routes are complete, which involves tasks such as order pulling, receiving stock, and customer assistance.

Candidates who join Tropic Supply in this role are entrusted with representing the company at every customer interaction, requiring professionalism, care, and ownership. Safety is paramount, with stringent requirements such as a valid driver's license, DOT medical certificate, and a clean motor vehicle record. Practical experience in driving non-CDL commercial vehicles or box trucks is necessary to meet Tropic Supply's standards. The physical nature of the role demands individuals who can handle heavy lifting, operate warehouse equipment, and work in non-climate-controlled environments typical of Florida's climate. Moreover, the company values consistent performers who follow protocols diligently and contribute to the overall operational success.

Tropic Supply offers a competitive benefits package, including company-paid medical and life insurance, optional dental and vision coverage, disability insurance plans, and a 401(k) with company match. Employees enjoy paid holidays and time off, employee discounts, and the stability of a respected company committed to career growth. Overall, this opportunity is ideal for a steady, dependable delivery driver looking to be part of a company with strong roots and an investment in their workforce.
