Job Description

The hiring establishment is a leading foodservice distributor known for its commitment to quality, dependability, and exceptional customer service. This company operates extensively across multiple locations, providing a wide range of food and related products to restaurants, healthcare, hospitality, and other foodservice customers. With a strong reputation for excellence and a focus on innovation, they continually adapt to meet the evolving needs of their clients while maintaining high standards in safety and operational efficiency. The company prioritizes its employees' growth and well-being, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits to foster a supportive and productive work environment.

This role offers a starting pay of $25 per hour, with a regular weekly shift from Monday to Saturday, 6 am to 3 pm, including opportunities for overtime compensation. The position is focused on multi-stop delivery driving which involves safe operation of company vehicles, accurate delivery execution, and professional customer interaction. It requires the ability to lift, load, and unload products efficiently and safely, sometimes in challenging environments such as climbing stairs or maneuvering refrigerated goods. The delivery driver will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are made in the prescribed sequence while adhering to safety regulations, food handling protocols, and proper documentation procedures. This includes utilizing hand trucks, operating scanners for recordkeeping, and monitoring refrigeration systems to maintain product quality during transit.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage work effectively in changing environments. Commitment to building customer loyalty, trust, and consistent follow-up communication is essential. Drivers must perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including monitoring fluid levels and tire conditions, and must comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements. The company values adaptability and a proactive approach in handling delivery-related issues, with clear communication channels established for reporting concerns to supervisors or customer service representatives. Candidates with prior experience in multi-stop deliveries, foodservice industry familiarity, or hand cart usage will have an advantage, but the company also welcomes applicants without commercial driving experience, provided they meet the licensing and safety standards.

Overall, this role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals seeking stable employment in a reputable company that values safety, efficiency, and high standards of customer service. The combination of competitive wages, structured shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package makes this an attractive option for both experienced delivery drivers and those looking to enter the field.
