Currently, EquipmentShare is seeking a Delivery Driver (Non CDL) to join its rental facility team located in Martinez, CA. This role is essential for the efficient and timely delivery of equipment, products, and materials to customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the position also offers overtime pay after 40 hours and compensation for on-call shifts. As a Delivery Driver at EquipmentShare, you won't just be moving equipment; you'll be delivering innovation. The company's proprietary T3 platform supports drivers by providing real-time access to fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details to ensure efficient route management and communication. You will operate vehicles in compliance with federal and state laws, maneuver trucks and trailers skillfully, assist with loading and unloading, maintain accurate delivery documentation, and perform routine truck maintenance checks. The role demands a high level of responsibility, safety awareness, and customer service, reflecting EquipmentShare's commitment to excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and state transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical examination
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab
  • CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven
  • Pass 10 panel drug screen
  • Valid non-CDL driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • Experience passing background and drug testing as per DOT regulations
  • Ability to pass DOT physical examination for vehicles over 10k lbs
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Clean shaven appearance if delivering to customers with such requirements
  • Commitment to safety and compliance protocols

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
  • Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
  • Load and unload goods and materials, using specialized equipment when necessary
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork, delivering documentation to appropriate staff
  • Perform routine truck maintenance and report malfunctions
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
