The role of Stepvan Delivery Driver at Melrose Park Logistics is a full-time position that offers a scheduled 40 hours per week with a biweekly pay cycle. The hourly wage for this position is $23.25, reflecting the company’s appreciation for the important role that drivers play in their operations. Stepvan Delivery Drivers begin their day by arriving at the station at the designated start time to load their vehicles with packages. Using a mobile device specifically designed for navigation and delivery tracking, these drivers ensure all packages are delivered safely and efficiently to customers. Precision and adherence to safety protocols are essential, as the role demands operating a Department of Transportation (DOT) delivery vehicle under strict safety standards.

The drivers are expected to drive in a professional manner while adhering rigorously to traffic rules in order to avoid triggering alerts on the safety monitoring system called Netradyne. Their performance is monitored continuously, and they have specific daily and weekly targets to meet to maintain operational standards. Additionally, Stepvan Delivery Drivers take part in helper routes 3 to 4 times a week. These routes can comprise between 118 to 280 stops and are system-generated, presenting an additional challenge for drivers and helpers working together to complete them promptly. Each assigned route pairs the driver with a helper for the duration of the shift, requiring effective communication and teamwork to reliably meet delivery deadlines. Drivers are expected to return to base within their scheduled shift hours, which run from 10:25 a.m. to 8:25 p.m. or upon route completion.

This position requires drivers to have open availability due to the varied schedule that includes one weekend shift and three weekday shifts, reflecting the company’s commitment to flexible coverage across its various delivery zones including Melrose Park, Elmhurst, Wood Dale, Bensenville, Roselle, Itasca, Bloomingdale, and Carol Stream. Candidates must also satisfy specific job requirements such as being at least 21 years old, holding a valid Non-CDL Class C or CDL A/B driver’s license, possessing an active DOT medical card, and passing background checks, motor vehicle reports, and drug screenings.
