Currently, Transdev is seeking a skilled Non-CDL Bus Driver to join their esteemed team in Columbus, Ohio, specifically for their contract with the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA). This full-time role offers a competitive starting pay of $22.15 per hour and is subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Hold a valid Ohio driver’s license in good standing with at least 3 years motor vehicle history
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and background and drug screening
  • Must be available to work full-time shifts including day evenings weekends and holidays
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules
  • Physical capability to sit for long periods walk bend lift and push or pull up to 75 pounds
  • Adaptability to work in various weather conditions
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • 21 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license in good standing with at least 3 years of motor vehicle history
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to speak and understand English
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination including a background and drug screen
  • Availability to work full-time schedules including day evenings weekends and holidays with mandatory weekend work
  • Punctual with an emphasis on attendance

Job Duties

  • Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations
  • Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers ensuring smooth boarding comfortable rides and timely disembarkation for all
  • Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections promptly reporting any maintenance issues and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness
  • Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously encompassing seat belt enforcement emergency response preparedness and compliance with regulatory mandates
  • Perform other duties as required
