Currently, TransForce is seeking dedicated Non-CDL Box Truck Drivers for local operations in Chatham, MA. This position is perfect for applicants looking for a reliable job with consistent hours and competitive pay. As a dedicated assignment, the role involves operating a 16-foot automatic reefer box truck to transport seafood locally, ensuring that all deliveries are made efficiently and according to industry standards. The role requires handling light touch freight using a pallet jack, making it less physically demanding than heavy freight routes but still necessitating attention to safety and proper handling techniques. Working six days per week, Monday through Saturday, drivers start their shifts early at 6 AM with work hours varying from 8 to 10 hours daily, averaging 40 to 50 hours weekly. This schedule ensures ample opportunities for overtime, with compensation at $22 per hour plus OT, and a quarterly attendance bonus of $250 enhancing the overall earning potential. Estimated weekly pay ranges between $950 and $1,050, providing a competitive wage for a non-CDL role.
The Non-CDL Box Truck Driver position is designed for individuals with at least one year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience, coupled with a clean motor vehicle record free of major traffic violations or preventable accidents over the past three years. Compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements is mandatory. Selected drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the 16-foot automatic reefer box truck on local routes, maintaining accurate logs and paperwork, and communicating effectively with dispatch and other operational team members. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are essential duties to guarantee vehicle safety and readiness, while the physical requirements include handling light freight using a pallet jack, ensuring that all products, specifically seafood, are delivered in optimal condition.
TransForce emphasizes its commitment to its drivers by offering comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan, and a referral program that rewards employees for helping to grow the team. Drivers benefit from an inclusive company culture that values steady pay, job security, and assignment flexibility that isn’t commonly found in the industry. TransForce continues to accept applications on an ongoing basis, inviting qualified candidates who seek a rewarding career with dependable earnings, a strong support network, and the opportunity to work with a respected logistics provider.
