Job Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years professional experience as a bakery lead or pastry lead
- Ability to work overnight shifts from 1 am to 9:30 am
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Able to work full time 5 days a week with 8 to 10-hour shifts
- Must be reliable, responsible, attentive, and motivated
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and high-quality standards
- Ability to commute to San Diego, CA 92103
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional bakery or pastry lead experience
- Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
- Dedicated to teamwork and collective goals
- Proven ability to manage and lead a small team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with proofing, baking, pastry decoration, and inventory control
- Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Job Duties
- Oversee overnight shift and lead a team of 3 to 4 people
- Proof and bake croissants and breads
- Set oven temperatures and monitor or adjust as needed
- Decorate pastries using various techniques for appealing presentation
- Package baked goods in delivery boxes
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure proper boxing and truck organization
- Place fruit orders based on inventory
- Print and fill out shift and end-of-shift reports
- Ensure team members take breaks on time and clock in/out correctly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry lab
- Manage team to complete production on schedule while meeting quality standards
