The role of Public Area Attendant at Hilton is critical to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality that guests expect. This position focuses on the upkeep and presentation of the hotel's public spaces such as restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces. The Public Area Attendant contributes directly to creating memorable guest experiences by ensuring these areas are immaculate and inviting at all times. This involves a variety of cleaning duties including dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash.

Beyond routine maintenance, Public Area Attendants also play a key role in guest interaction by offering warm greetings, responding to inquiries, and promptly handling service requests. Their support extends to assisting housekeeping with guest room cleaning when necessary and executing special projects such as deep cleaning tasks, mattress flipping, furniture moving, and floor waxing to enhance the overall guest experience.

Job Duties

  • Keep public areas spotless by maintaining cleanliness of designated areas including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces by performing daily cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash
  • Delight guests by greeting warmly, answering questions, and resolving service requests promptly
  • Support housekeeping operations by assisting in guest room cleaning and fulfilling service requests when needed
  • Handle special projects by performing periodic deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors
