Job Description
Hotel Oceana Santa Monica is the premier oceanfront, all-suite hotel located in the heart of Santa Monica, California. Recognized as the number one hotel in Los Angeles by Travel and Leisure, Hotel Oceana offers an exceptional blend of luxury, comfort, and contemporary style. After a substantial $35 million renovation completed in July 2019, the hotel reopened to provide guests with an elevated and refreshed hospitality experience. Featuring stunning ocean views, modern amenities, and an inviting atmosphere, Hotel Oceana is designed to cater to discerning travelers seeking both relaxation and convenience in one of Southern California's most iconic beach cities.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Night Bellman and Valet to join our outstanding team in a full-time, overnight role. This position is essential in delivering a seamless and welcoming experience to our guests during nighttime hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting guests with parking and retrieving their vehicles, handling luggage, and providing transportation support overnight. As the first and last point of contact for many guests during late evening and early morning hours, the Night Bellman and Valet plays a vital role in maintaining Hotel Oceana’s high standards of guest service and hospitality.
This role requires a friendly and patient individual who enjoys interacting with guests and is committed to creating a memorable stay for each visitor. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly upon arrival and departure, managing luggage professionally, preparing guest rooms for immediate occupancy by ensuring lights are on and drapes opened, and communicating important information about hotel amenities, safety protocols, and services such as internet access and room service policies. The Night Bellman and Valet must be a responsible and careful driver, operating guests’ vehicles according to all traffic laws and parking them in designated hotel parking areas. Additionally, directing traffic within the hotel property and assisting guests with taxis, pet care, or luggage storage are common tasks.
This position demands flexibility, as you will work an overnight schedule that includes weekends and holidays according to operational requirements. Hotel dress and grooming standards are strictly enforced to maintain the professional appearance of the team, including wearing the hotel-issued uniform, keeping visible tattoos covered, adhering to natural hair color standards, limiting piercings to one pair of earrings, and ensuring neat grooming of facial hair.
Hotel Oceana Santa Monica offers an attractive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage, a 401(k) savings plan with auto-enrollment after 60 days, paid vacation and sick leave, and holiday pay for eligible employees. We pride ourselves in fostering an inclusive workplace and are an Equal Opportunity Employer that welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, including those with criminal histories in compliance with local fair chance hiring laws.
Joining the team at Hotel Oceana means becoming part of a trusted and renowned hospitality brand dedicated to excellence and guest satisfaction. If you possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, we encourage you to apply today. This is your chance to contribute to one of Los Angeles’ top-rated hotels and build a rewarding career in hospitality.
