Job Description
Mt. Bachelor is a renowned year-round skiing and outdoor recreation resort located in Bend, Oregon. As part of the POWDR family, the resort has cultivated a vibrant community culture that emphasizes memorable experiences, shared accomplishments, and a positive team environment. Situated amidst Central Oregon's scenic landscapes, Mt. Bachelor attracts guests seeking adventure through activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking. Complementing the resort's commitment to recreation, Trailhead Lodge serves as a central hub and basecamp providing comfortable lodging and social spaces for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers alike. It is designed to be a welcoming destination for guests year-round, seamlessly blending comfort with adventure access, allowing guests to unwind while staying close to the natural wonders and vibrant town amenities of Bend.
The Night Auditor role at Trailhead Lodge is a critical overnight position responsible for supporting seamless lodge operations during nighttime hours. This role contributes significantly by maintaining operational accuracy related to financial auditing, guest services, and property security. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Guest Experience Manager, the Night Auditor acts as the primary overnight contact point, ensuring the lodge remains safe, secure, and guest-ready. The position is ideal for individuals who are highly detail-oriented, disciplined, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong judgment and professionalism. The job encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including preparing next-day arrival reports to facilitate efficient guest check-ins, handling limited retail and grab-and-go transactions related to non-alcoholic food and beverages, and executing routine safety and security checks across the property to ensure a comfortable and protected environment for all guests.
The Night Auditor fosters a calm and welcoming guest experience, supports interdepartmental collaboration with housekeeping, facilities, and guest experience teams, and documents all overnight operational activities, incidents, and updates accurately for daytime staff. Although this role does not include supervisory duties, it carries significant responsibility in bridging nighttime and daytime lodge operations. Candidates are expected to embody the resort’s dedication to hospitality, teamwork, and shared accountability. The position requires overnight, on-site availability including weekends and holidays, reflecting the lodge’s year-round operation. Mt. Bachelor offers this position with a competitive pay rate starting at $22 per hour and emphasizes its inclusive and equal opportunity workplace culture, welcoming applicants who share its vision of delivering exceptional mountain experiences while enjoying a vibrant and supportive work environment.
