Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • less than 1-year related work experience
  • ability to process various payment types accurately
  • ability to complete end-of-day financial activities
  • ability to handle guest check-ins and room assignments
  • ability to operate electronic key machine
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • ability to comply with company policies and safety standards
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts
  • run night audit backup and roll the date
  • process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
  • process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • print contingency lists for emergency records
  • sell rooms/accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability
  • operate telephone switchboard station and process wake-up call requests
  • complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • process all guest check-ins and assign rooms
  • activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine
  • count and secure bank at end of shift
  • balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
  • set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • inspect cleanliness and presentation of all materials
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • follow company policies and procedures ensuring professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality
  • protect company assets
  • welcome and acknowledge guests per company standards
  • anticipate and address guest service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • speak clearly and professionally
  • answer telephones with etiquette
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team goals
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • perform moderate physical activities such as lifting 25 pounds and bending
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
