The Night Auditor role is based at the Residence Inn Louisville, situated at 120 N. Hurstbourne Parkway in Louisville, KY. This hourly-paid position is essential to the smooth operation of the hotel’s financial and guest service functions during the overnight shift. The Night Auditor holds the vital responsibility of reconciling all hotel cashier transactions—ensuring all financial data is accurate and aligned with hotel and corporate standards. This role demands a strong familiarity with financial information, exceptional attention to detail to review, organize, and compile management reports timely, and the ability to maintain accuracy in guest billings and city ledger transactions. Additionally, this position supports guest services functions as needed, including managing check-in and check-out processes, operating the switchboard, and handling reservations.

The role requires an individual who is adaptable and willing to cross-train in different accounting and hotel-related disciplines. The Night Auditor must prioritize tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor for excellent guest interaction. Responsibilities extend beyond auditing, including the preparation and distribution of daily and month-end reports, auditing front desk and food and beverage cashier work, and timely processing of credit card transactions. The Night Auditor serves as an important communication link to management regarding any unusual financial events or deviations from standard operating procedures. Job Duties

  • Perform guest service functions as required including check-in and check-out and switchboard operation
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports
  • Prepare and distribute necessary daily and month-end reports
  • Audit and reconcile all Front Desk and Food and Beverage cashier's work
  • Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis
  • Input and update financial information into corporate communications network
  • Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events and deviations of policies or procedures
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Respond to governmental inquiries and handle guest requests
