Established over 30 years ago, Highgate has built a reputation as an innovator in the hospitality industry, specializing in the comprehensive management of hotels at various stages of the property lifecycle—from initial planning and development to recapitalization or disposition. Their diverse portfolio features bespoke lifestyle hotel brands, legacy brands, and independent hotels and resorts, all of which incorporate contemporary programming and cutting-edge digital technologies.
The company’s strength lies in its employment of industry-leading revenue management tools that enable a detailed understanding of market dynamics, empowering Highgate to consistently outperform competitors and maximize asset value. Supported by an executive team of seasoned hospitality professionals and multiple corporate offices worldwide, Highgate is a trusted partner for top hotel ownership groups and recognized major hotel brands. This commitment to excellence is reflected in their strategic approach to asset management and hospitality operations, ensuring a high standard of service and profitability across their portfolio.
The Night Auditor role at Highgate Hotels is an hourly-paid position integral to the financial and guest service operations of the hotel. This role is pivotal for maintaining accurate financial records by reconciling hotel cashier transactions and ensuring the integrity of guest billing and city ledger transactions. The Night Auditor must prepare and distribute critical daily and monthly financial reports, audit financial and statistical data, and work efficiently with hotel accounting and management teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Beyond accounting functions, the Night Auditor performs essential guest service duties such as check-in, check-out, reservations, and responding to guest inquiries, ensuring a seamless guest experience during overnight hours. The position requires effective communication skills to liaise with management and guests, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize job functions to meet strict deadlines. This role also involves cross-training in other hotel-related areas, emphasizing versatility and collaboration within the hospitality team.
Highgate Hotels supports its employees through a workplace culture that values professionalism, hospitality, and operational excellence. The Night Auditor position offers a unique opportunity to grow within a globally recognized company that champions innovation, guest satisfaction, and efficient property management. Individuals passionate about hospitality and finance can expect to engage in a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding environment that fosters career development and hands-on learning.
