The Night Auditor role at Hilton is a crucial overnight position responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of hotel operations during the nighttime hours. This role combines accounting accuracy with exceptional hospitality service, ensuring that every guest's experience is seamless and welcoming. As a Night Auditor, you will balance transactions, audit daily financial activities across various hotel outlets, and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain precise records. You will verify payment accuracy, especially focusing on credit card transactions, to guarantee all reports align with actual takings. Your role also involves investigative duties to identify and resolve any anomalies in financial data, working closely with hotel management to provide guidance and training on accurate financial processes and system usage. Supporting the Night Manager in emergency situations is another critical aspect of this role, highlighting the importance of reliability and quick decision-making in maintaining guest safety and security.

  • relevant experience in hospitality or accounting preferred
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to perform overnight shifts
  • proficient in using financial and accounting software
  • good communication skills
  • ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Job Duties

  • balance transactions by auditing post and reconciling the day’s financial activity across outlets
  • verify payment accuracy ensuring all credit card transactions align with daily reports
  • investigate and resolve discrepancies found between financial reports and takings
  • assist hotel management by providing guidance and training to Night Managers on accurate financial processes and system use
  • support emergency response efforts by assisting the Night Manager during emergency situations
