MMI Hotel Group operates a collection of hotels that emphasize an inclusive and diverse work environment where team members are encouraged to be themselves. The company offers equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants, including minorities, women, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Homewood Suites Ridgeland is a full-service hotel located in Ridgeland, Mississippi, catering primarily to travelers who seek comfortable extended stays with the convenience of home-like amenities. The hotel offers guests spacious suites, complimentary amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere that supports business travelers, families, and leisure guests alike.
The Night Auditor position at Homewood Suites Ridgeland plays a crucial role in the hotel’s operations by working overnight to ensure that the financial records and transitions throughout the day are accurately verified and balanced. This is a full-time onsite position, highlighting the need for a dependable individual who is accustomed to working night shifts. The Night Auditor's responsibilities extend beyond balancing daily accounts; it also entails reconciling cash receipts and summary sheets for all hotel departments and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately entered into the hotel’s accounting systems.
This role is particularly well-suited for individuals with skills in bookkeeping, accounting, or a general business background. Candidates with vocational office training and at least three months of bookkeeping, auditing, or general accounting experience will find this position aligns well with their professional skills. Beyond the financial responsibilities, the Night Auditor is expected to occasionally perform guest service duties at the front desk, welcoming and assisting guests to maintain the high standards of hospitality expected by Homewood Suites. Additionally, the Night Auditor may serve as Supervisor on Duty, overseeing front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager, which requires strong leadership and multitasking abilities.
MMI Hotel Group values an inclusive workplace culture where employees can thrive and grow professionally, offering various benefits such as health insurance, paid holidays, flexible work schedules, and a 401k plan with employer match. By joining Homewood Suites Ridgeland, applicants become part of a well-established group that prioritizes team member welfare and offers professional development opportunities in the hospitality industry. The Night Auditor role is a vital position for ensuring accurate hotel financial reporting and delivering superior guest service in the overnight shift, making it a position with a balanced mix of accounting acumen and customer service expertise. If you enjoy working with numbers, have a knack for multitasking, and have a friendly demeanor geared towards assisting guests, this full-time role at Homewood Suites Ridgeland is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and nurturing hospitality organization.
