With a commitment to hearts that serve, the hotel chain fosters an environment where employees are encouraged to stay nimble, take ownership, and strive for only excellence in their roles. By focusing on these core values, HHM Hotels has built a reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction and operational integrity. The company offers a range of full-time and part-time employment opportunities, competitive wages, and a comprehensive benefits package aimed at supporting the wellbeing and professional development of its team members.
The position of Night Auditor at HHM Hotels plays a crucial role in the day-to-day financial and guest service operations of the hotel. This role blends the responsibilities of maintaining accurate financial records and delivering attentive guest services, ensuring smooth operations during nighttime shifts. The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the day's revenue and settling accounts through systematic nightly audits. This includes reconciling cash transactions, auditing cashier reports, and ensuring all credit card transactions are consolidated and transmitted promptly through the hotel’s financial system, known as the BRAINS network.
In addition to financial duties, this role involves preparation and distribution of daily reports that provide critical business insights to management. The Night Auditor also maintains records of room availability and guest accounts, utilizing manual systems or computer software to keep data current and accurate. Beyond accounting tasks, they perform Guest Service Agent duties such as checking guests in and out, responding promptly to guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and promoting overall guest satisfaction.
The position requires excellent computer literacy, specifically proficiency in Excel and basic arithmetic skills to handle the accounting work effectively. Safe work practices are imperative, including the use of protective safety equipment. The Night Auditor must be adaptable to various work schedules, potentially including holidays and weekends, and physically able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and reach as needed. This role provides a clear growth path for dedicated employees, leading to potential advancement as a Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, or ultimately a Front Office Manager.
HHM Hotels values continuous professional development and supports employees with training, including the requirement to obtain Food Service Department (FSD) certification within 90 days of employment, which is considered a plus. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k company match, daily pay options, and more. The company also offers travel discounts, commuter benefits, wellness programs, and an employee assistance program, reflecting a commitment to work-life balance and employee wellbeing. Joining HHM Hotels means being part of a team that believes "People Are Our Capability" and upholds the highest standards of service to create memorable experiences for every guest.
