Job Description
HHM Hotels is a reputable and growing hotel management company known for operating a variety of hotel brands and properties across numerous locations. Managed by HHM Hotels, the company is committed to providing excellent hospitality services and creating exceptional guest experiences that build the foundation for its expanding footprint within the hotel industry. HHM Hotels embraces values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It, reinforcing its dedication to quality service and employee engagement.
As a Night Auditor at HHM Hotels, you will play a critical role in balancing revenue and settling accounts nightly, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining comprehensive records that support smooth daily operations. This position requires performing Night Auditor responsibilities as well as Guest Service Agent duties, making it an integral role that blends accounting expertise with guest services. The Night Auditor’s work schedule may vary and can include nights, weekends, and holidays, demanding flexibility and a professional approach to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
This role involves processing bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits, keeping track of room availability, guest accounts, and managing financial data manually or through computer systems including the BRAINS network. The Night Auditor will also be responsible for preparing, distributing daily reports, auditing cashiers, reconciling credit card transactions, and supporting front desk check-ins and check-outs.
Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, proven experience in night auditing or accounting, and computer proficiency, especially in Excel and arithmetic, are preferred. While Full Service Day (FSD) certification is a plus, it is required to be obtained within 90 days of employment. The Night Auditor role is viewed as a growth opportunity with pathways leading to positions such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and ultimately Front Office Manager.
HHM Hotels offers competitive wages for both full-time and part-time roles, coupled with an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision health insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match, and various other employee perks. This includes daily pay options, free basic life insurance, confidential work-life resources via TELUS Health, travel discounts, commuter benefits, employee assistance and wellness programs, opportunities for educational and professional development, and referral bonuses.
Working as a Night Auditor at HHM Hotels demands physical resilience including standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching. Despite these physical requirements, the role is a rewarding position for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about maintaining operational accuracy while ensuring guests receive exemplary service.
