Job Requirements
- Must be able to perform major life activities such as standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours bend stretch and reach
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to communicate with other associates and guests
- Honesty and trustworthiness are essential
- Must pass appropriate security clearances
- Ability to work unsupervised and be productive including overnight shifts
- Must be flexible to work any day or shift including weekends
- Physical presence at the hotel required no remote work
- Must maintain a friendly and professional appearance at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in accounting sales telesales service or guest relations preferred
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Computer literate with ability to operate property management system
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and staff
- Ability to multitask and remain guest service centric
Job Duties
- Greet and register guests provide room assignments maintain guest privacy accommodate special requests when possible
- Promote and sell services and amenities of the hotel
- Promote repeat business by taking future reservations and providing recommendations for alternate same brand-type products
- Identify sales leads and report information to appropriate individuals
- Communicate special requests and late check-outs to housekeeping and other departments
- Check all credit cards for validity before the end of the shift
- Learn and utilize property management system
- Ensure cash check and miscellaneous departments are in balance at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of lobby and dining areas
- Follow emergency procedures and report hazardous conditions
- Report unusual occurrences and requests to management
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of market area if applicable
- Maintain certification if alcohol is served
- Be flexible with work schedule including overnight shifts
- Assist with laundry housekeeping or food and beverage duties as needed
