Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • less than 1 year of related work experience
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 25 pounds and prolonged standing or walking
  • proficiency in handling multiple payment types
  • ability to operate telephone and electronic key system
  • adherence to company policies and appearance standards
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to work overnight shifts

Job Duties

  • Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts
  • run night audit backup and roll the date
  • process all payment types including cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • print contingency lists for emergency guest records
  • sell rooms to guests without reservations based on availability
  • operate telephone switchboard and handle wake-up call requests
  • complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • process guest check-ins and assign rooms
  • activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine
  • count and secure bank at end of shift
  • balance and drop receipts as per accounting specifications
  • maintain clean and stocked work areas and inspect materials
  • report accidents and unsafe conditions to manager
  • follow company policies and maintain professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • welcome guests and address service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • develop positive relationships with team members
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • perform physical tasks such as moving and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • stand, sit, or walk for entire shifts
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
