The role available is a dynamic position that combines responsibilities of balancing daily financial operations for room, restaurant, and bar revenues alongside front desk agent duties. This is a hands-on position in a 24/7 hotel operation environment requiring flexibility with shift hours and working days. The key focus of the job is to ensure all charges and settlements are posted, balanced, and documented with accuracy and timeliness. This includes auditing revenue reports, handling Micros system tapes and journals, correcting discrepancies, and managing computer-related issues that affect daily financial postings.
More than just financial balancing, this role also demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the employee will serve as a front desk agent during shifts. This includes greeting guests warmly, managing the registration process, verifying payments, responding to guest inquiries accurately about hotel services and local attractions, and providing a memorable guest experience. The position also requires performing cash handling duties like verifying credit cards, making change, and balancing the assigned house bank.
Operationally, the employee is responsible for coordinating closely with other departments such as front desk, restaurants, and bars to facilitate smooth closing and preparation for subsequent days. Accuracy in file maintenance, report distribution to accounting and payroll departments, and compliance with company policies and safety procedures are critical. Team members are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per established standards.
Physical demands of this role include the ability to stand and move continuously around the front office, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and the ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed. Effective hearing and vision are important for observing potential emergency situations and for providing excellent guest service. The company offers comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan, health and disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and various employee discounts, emphasizing their commitment to employee wellbeing and satisfaction. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting knowledge, mathematical aptitude, and friendly demeanor, eager to be part of a reputable hospitality management team.
