Job Description

This hotel is a part of an independent franchise operated by Hotel Management Pros. Unlike hotels directly managed by Marriott International, this hotel is run by a franchisee, which is a separate business entity with its own operational policies and employment practices. The franchisee controls all aspects of hotel employment, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and overall working conditions. This setup ensures that employees hired at this hotel are employed by the franchisee and not Marriott International. This distinction is important for understanding the management structure and employment policies that are in place at this location.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including occasional shifts outside regular schedule
  • ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to perform security walks and implement safety procedures
  • punctuality and reliability
  • physical ability to perform operational tasks such as setting up breakfast area and completing laundry

Job Duties

  • keep accurate accounts of cash checks and credit transactions
  • handle confidential information including guest records with high integrity
  • make daily deposits as applicable
  • verify room charges and rates and starting cash in register
  • manage daily paperwork including occupancy report guest list cash drawer summary balance sheet account summary history file and housekeeping report
  • submit reports to corporate office as appropriate
  • perform duties of a guest service agent
  • perform and document security walks regularly
  • implement proper procedures in emergency situations
  • assist in setting up breakfast area and replenishing breakfast items as needed
  • make management decisions in manager's absence when required
  • complete laundry as directed
  • perform other duties as assigned
